Christopher Melley
CEO

Christopher Melley co-founded Preferred Care in 2004 and currently serves as the company’s Chief Executive Officer. Known for his tenacity, business acumen and thorough understanding of Federal and State healthcare statutes and regulations, Chris was responsible for leading the company’s deficiency-free Medicare Certification in 2005 and Joint Commission Accreditation with Deemed Status in 2009.

​With a love for challenge, Chris played an integral role in the expansion of the company’s operations from one county to a total of eight counties spanning both coasts of the State of Florida. In 2018, Chris led the successful re-accreditation of all locations. Despite the company’s rapid growth, Chris remains dedicated to the company’s core mission of providing the highest quality home healthcare services in a personalized manner. Chris holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with Honors from the University of Miami.

Jay Larson
​Vice-President

Jay Larson, Vice-President, has over 26 years of Home Health experience. She is a Florida native and was brought up in the home health industry working for her mother’s agency in 1993, learning all aspects of the daily operations of home health.  She was responsible for oversight of Administration, Billing, Compliance and Operations, learning from the ground up has been the most contributing aspect to Jay’s existing value.

In 2007, she became the Administrator of an agency that acquired the family business. She then advanced to a Regional Operational Specialist role and then transitioned into a Corporate Sales Mentor with oversight of company growth for seven counties.

After working for a large corporation, Jay joined a privately owned agency that offers a perfect fit for her career path.  She has been with Preferred Care Home Health since 2014, joined as the Director of Administration and now adheres to the Agency’s responsibilities as Vice-President.

Dorothy Bourke, RN, BSN
Director of Nursing

Dorothy Bourke, Director of Nursing, has an extensive Nursing background. She worked in Michigan for 29 years at a large Metropolitan Magnet Hospital, in the Oncology unit for 12 years, then as a Home Health field clinician for 17 years.

​When Dorothy moved to Florida in 2011 to help care for her Father in Law, she worked for several Home Health agencies before finding her “work home” at Preferred Care in 2016. She started working at this agency as a Clinical Supervisor, then Director of Education, and is currently the Director of Nursing.

Anthony T Seeger, PT, DPT, SCS
Director of Rehab

Dr. Seeger is currently the Director of Rehab Services for Preferred Care.  He is a graduate of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas where he received his Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy in 1998. He was also elected the Class President.  He then continued his education at Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virginia where he received his Doctor of Physical Therapy. 

Dr. Seeger has extensive experience in the Home Health setting.  Prior to Home Health, Dr Seeger has practiced in a variety clinical settings including ICU, Acute Care, Cardiopulmonary, Neurology, Skilled Nursing Facilities and Inpatient/ Outpatient Rehab Centers.  He specializes in Clinical Geriatric Neurology and Evaluations and Treatment of Balance Disorders.  He is also a Credentialed Clinical Instructor. 

Dr. Seeger embraces the concept of evidence-based medicine and draws upon current research to incorporate scientifically validated methods into his daily practice.  He passes that information onto his highly trained therapy staff to ensure that their patients are receiving the best evaluation and treatment options that are available to them.
